Right, as my library is currently echo-ing and empty, with all the students away on activities week (private school thing, don't ask), I might as well try and catch up with the present Thing (can't believe I am already behind - sadly lacking in organisation for a librarian). So Thing 2: reading others' blogs.
The list of participating lists is intimidatingly immense, and as I don't know which ones to pick, I've requested some links from my twitter buddies in self-defence. And so far, two replies of people has been brave enough to push their blogs / on twitter when I asked : the lovely Janine who immediately made me feel better about being late as she is even later (hope she won't mind me saying that...), and the frankly insane and possibly obsessive neighbours fan lemurph (erm, and I hope she also doesn't mind me saying that).
I do prefer to read the blogs of people I've actually met, as I am immediately more interested in what they have to say. It always helps to know someone's context and also to be able to hear their voice in your head as you read. That might sound slightly creepy, sorry.
I'm going to come back to this Thing, as I think it's an interesting one - and I want to read more blogs. But I'm going to go and sit in the sun and drink some coffee now, which is more important.

Haha! I'll take your comments in the way in which they were intended, and am now mortally offended. Nice blog, though, and your last sentence is SPOT on :)
